We are looking for talented individuals, with a keen eye for detail and excellent customer service skills to join our Claims Third Party Damage department. As a Claims Handler you will be required to assess and settle claims for our customers following an accident. After comprehensive training you'll start to manage your own portfolio of cases, investigating each claim and assessing liability. You will use your newly acquired knowledge of case law and any available evidence (including CCTV, dashcam footage and witness statements) to reach the best settlement for our customer and the business. 

You’ll also be required to deal with incoming and outgoing calls, to keep your policyholders up to date on their claims and liaise with third party insurance companies. On-going training will be provided throughout your career to ensure you're always up to date with the latest policies and procedures to deliver the best service possible.

Main Duties

  • Assessing new claims to determine who was at fault
  • Liaising with third party insurers via phone and in writing
  • Reviewing the status of ongoing claims and keeping our customers up to date
  • Meeting and exceeding departmental productivity and quality targets
  • Ensuring we are treating customers fairly and acting in a professional manner, at all times

Essential Skills Needed

  • A positive attitude to work
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • A team player attitude
  • The handler must be flexible to varying working hours including working occasional evenings and weekends
  • The ability to manage their time to achieve daily and monthly goals
  • Be able to use their own initiative and make decisions

Desirable Skills Needed

  • Previous customer facing experience (face to face or telephone based)
