Sustainability

We are committed to ensuring long-term sustainability for our stakeholders. We safeguard our customers, business, people and communities through our practices and policies.

At Admiral, we care deeply about our people, our customers, and the impact we make on wider society. Our sustainability approach is aligned with our purpose framework and considers how we deliver the best possible outcomes for our key stakeholders.

Our purpose defines the reason we exist, and the way we do everything from creating products and supporting customers and colleagues to our approach to sustainability.

Our Customers

We are committed to providing great customer experiences, our Group-wide test-and-learn approach ensures we continue to meet our customers’ current and evolving needs. Colleagues across the Group complete annual training in accordance with local regulation to ensure we are treating our customers with fairness and transparency. For example, in the UK, this includes training on Consumer Duty, Vulnerable Customers and Data Protection. This approach is reflected in our strategy, as we strive to maintain our customer focus by continuing to develop customer-centric propositions and services.

"We are there for them,
when they need us the most."

Milena Mondini de Focatiis, Group CEO

Our Communities

Together For Better is our Group commitment to transform the lives of people outside of Admiral. It brings alignment and focus to how we support our communities and make meaningful impact across the world.
We encourage and support our colleagues to donate their time and skills to support sustainable communities.
We are really proud of our colleague-led approach which means our people identify and select the local charities and organisations which we collaborate and build relationships with, helping us create a positive impact on the wider society.

One unified approach to partner with global and local organisations to help people get jobs. Partnering with experts to help more people to look after their futures and secure sustainable employment.

Environment

We are committed to being a good corporate citizen and supporting the communities in which we operate. This influences everything we do; mitigating our businesses’ impact on climate change, ensuring we are paying the right amount of tax, and engaging and investing in local areas. We recognise that climate change will have a significant impact on our customers, colleagues and local communities and so we are supporting the transition to a greener economy. We have announced our ambition to achieve net zero by 2040. We are following the Net Zero Investment Framework which was laid out by the Paris Aligned Investment Initiatives, and we are committed to aligning ourselves with the latest climate science to minimise our carbon impact. Across the Group, our people are onboard to help us meet this goal through our dedicated Sustainability and Climate Change Working Groups. Across the Group, 65% of our energy comes from renewable sources.
