We have exciting opportunities for the right individuals to join the Claims Change and Product team as we recruit Project Managers.

Claims Change and Product is a department made up of several change areas: Claims Change (PMO and Projects, Large IT and Financial Change, Digital Value and Offshore Strategy) and Product (Business change, GWCC Product Team – Claims Value Stream, Automation) and Telephony (Telephony Programme and Workforce Management – WFM). These areas are responsible for delivering value back to the Claims department.

Working as a key part of the Project area within Claims Change, the Project Manager will be responsible for driving their projects forward to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.

The role will see you working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.

The role involves managing the delivery of a varied mix of projects, by organising and coordinating tasks, creating project plans, engaging stakeholders, managing timelines and relationships to ensure on-time delivery, whilst complying with the Claims and business compliance standards. Projects will range from strategically important and high-value initiatives through to smaller, time-critical business or process changes to deliver incremental improvements for the business and customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Agreeing project objectives, key deliverables, and the scope of the change activity
  • Managing and organising resources working on a project
  • Carrying out project risk assessments, mitigate and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring that the critical success factors of the project are met.
  • Guaranteeing that project quality standards are met.
  • Overseeing and owning financial management and budgets
  • Reporting to steering committees, programme, and portfolio checkpoints
  • Evaluating the success of the project against benchmarks
  • Developing and maintaining a close relationship with business stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects.
  • Providing high level, realistic and detailed projects plans
  • Managing change effectively, utilising the correct communication channels
  • Sharing lessons or best practices with other project managers
  • Feed in requirements to the Continuous improvement area such as training requirements, readiness needs or communication plans etc.
  • All projects must be fully documented and regular reports providing details of progress must be produced and distributed to relevant parties.
  • Managing projects in a best practice fashion whilst using the required methodology
  • Ensuring relevant governance standards are met.
  • To ensure all sensitive information related to any projects are not disclosed to anyone outside of the project group or Claims Change & Product

  • Ability to quickly understand new concepts and principles.
  • Whilst not essential, knowledge of the agile methodology and its values, principles and practices is desired.

Salary, Benefits, and Work-Life Balance
