Claims Procurement are looking for a proactive and well organised individual to join the team as a Salvage Procurement Executive.

Candidates ideally should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the salvage process or have an aptitude to learn quickly. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high value contract and therefore need to be comfortable reviewing M.I, managing their time effectively and be able to communicate to individuals of all levels clearly and confidently both internally and externally to Admiral.

We want to find the best person for the role, as such the package is flexible depending on experience and suitability. The role provides excellent long term prospects and will act as a springboard for the ambitious.

The role will require travel to suppliers on occasion.

Claims Procurement are responsible for the sourcing, selection, contracts and ongoing management and governance of our supply chain partners. This ensures that Admiral are obtaining the best commercial deal; selecting the right partners from a cultural and service delivery perspective; researching the market to keep close to innovative new products; performance managing suppliers - all of which is to ensure that our customers’ get the very best service at all times and Admiral are better placed to control the cost of the claim. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be main point of contact for designated suppliers within the Claims supply chain, build a strategic relationship that will aid the management of the contract and supplier performance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and be a point of reference to the supply chain, internal and external stakeholders for day to day queries (that has been assigned).
  • Liaise with and attend meetings internally and externally as necessary, to perform all responsibilities and aid business development.
  • Provide support to both the supplier and department with any change management.
  • Assist the Management team in project managing supplier arrangements from concept to implementation.
  • Work with internal/ external stakeholders to identify added value opportunities, striving for continuous improvements.
  • Carry out quality assurance reviews as and when required.
  • To know and understand the claims procurement process and take an active part in its execution.
  • Play a key role in formal market tests, preparation of any documentations and complete analysis where required to the appropriate standard.
  • Identify and report/manage risks where appropriate.
  • Support in negotiation and renegotiating of commercial terms with suppliers.
  • Draft contractual documentation with support from legal and ensure all suppliers are in contract and contractual risk mitigated. 
  • Write detailed reports that can be presented to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Assist with the implementing and embedding of project work/ regulatory requirements.
  • Actively undertake governance activities which includes using and updating the Contract Management system.
  • Comply with the Group Procurement and Outsourcing, Contracts Authorisation, Conflicts of Interest and Corporate Gifts & Hospitality policies at all times.
  • Work as directed by the Management team.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience of working in a Claims environment is desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience in stakeholder/ relationship management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Someone who can evidence commercial acumen.
  • Analytically minded with an eagerness to constantly learn new skills and develop.
  • Project management experience is desirable.
  • Experience of working with suppliers is desirable.

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
