Admiral Business operates within Admiral Pioneer. Admiral Pioneer is a company within Admiral Group that seeds, launches, and scales new businesses that are at the forefront of Admiral Group’s diversification strategy.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop Frontend Applications using Next.js, React and Sanity.io
• Develop Backend applications using NodeJS in a serverless architecture
• Maintain a high level of Unit Test Coverage
• Adhere to coding standards
• Participating in Communities of practice
• Play an active role in agile ceremonies such as retrospectives, sprint planning and stand-ups
• Optimising database performance, and ensuring data integrity across different database types

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong communication skills
• Strong Organisation and Time management skills
• Ability to work independently, proactively and as part of a wider team
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain both relational and NoSQL databases.

Commercial experience in the following areas

• Development using JavaScript libraries and frameworks (Next.js and React preferred)
• Development of serverless applications (Node.js preferred)
• Development of REST and/or GraphQL API's

Desirable Experience

• Experience working in the Insurance sector or other highly regulated sectors

Please note: This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work on site in Cardiff 2 days per week.
