The Data Risk Executive supports the Senior Information & Data Risk Specialist, Data Quality team and the wider Data Assurance team through a range of activities, supporting the delivery of the team’s work in order to provide the business with their data assurance and data risk needs. As a key member of the team, you will create an environment of collaboration, agility, innovation and ownership in support of the Data Assurance team and overall business ambitions.

The role would be well suited to someone with existing risk experience looking to develop skills within Data and Information and a drive to get involved in making a positive impact on the journey to creating excellence in data risk management to support EUIL’s future and enhance our ability to utilise data and data risk information in key decisioning.

Main Duties

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the Information & Data Risk Management Framework, including embedding an understanding and good practices of risk management of Data Risks across EUIL
  • Support and develop risk management practices such as risk registers, risk events, control testing and KRI reporting
  • Provide risk support to the Senior Information & Data Risk Analyst and the wider Data Enablement Services Department
  • Engage across the business to support our Policies and standards and to support line one in management of Data Risks
  • Actively identify risks and provide input and ideas into possible solutions
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to understand, manage and address operational issues and promoting risk and control awareness
  • Participate in risk review forums and active contribution to other risk activities and forums, supporting First Line of Defence for Data Risk
  • Involvement with the business on projects which impact upon EUI’s data control environment
  • Assist in the review of new product and business initiatives as they relate to EUI’s control environment and Risk Appetite
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders such as DPO, IT Risk, EUIL Risk and Group Risk
  • Provide SME knowledge and training on risk management and Data Risk Framework

  • Working on own initiative, with the ability to introduce fresh thinking to the role and the wider Risk team
  • An understanding of the current regulatory landscape and risk management techniques
  • Risk management qualifications and/or experience are highly desirable

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
