"Job Purpose:
The Business Analyst’s role is to elicit, analyse, specify, and validate the business needs that link directly to operational activities. The Business Analyst works in alignment with specific transformation activities and business areas to provide expertise and guidance for all aspects of transformation across the organization. The role is a key enabler for the successful implementation of change requests, key projects and programmes, with very close links to all aspects of project management.
Job Duties:
The job holder will be expected to:
- Organize and run workshops
- Undertake stakeholder analysis
- Create and review high level and detailed BRDs
- Document and manage requirements
- Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure delivery of products
- Enable and support UAT
- Undertake as-is, to-be and gap analysis
- Identify and help manage risks, issues and dependencies
- Liaise with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Job Requirements:
- Substantial experience in writing high level and detailed business requirements documents (BRDs) and change request documentation
- Proven experience in developing as-is and to-be process models, use case analysis or user stories is required
- Familiarity with phases and deliverables associated with systems development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, both upstream and downstream from requirements
- Solid interview and analysis skills, ability to run requirements management workshops, relationship management skills and requirements facilitation
- Ability to synthesize reporting requirements including formats, common themes, patterns
- General knowledge of or direct exposure to a functioning Project Office in terms of structure, process, milestone delivery, governance
- Use of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
- Exposure to enterprise requirements analysis tools such as Enterprise Architecture or TFS is desired
- Exposure to and appreciation of different cultures/workstyles/implications of varied time zones upon project communications
- To be part of a fast-paced delivery team
Desirable:
- Formal business analysis and/or project management training (e.g. PMP, ISEB / BCS, Prince2 or IIBA)
- Interest in the industry and relevant industry tools
- Experience of working with consultants and vendors, especially with regards to assisting in writing RFIs and RFPs
- Experience of working closely with third party vendors for the delivery of technology
