Design sits centrally within the growth team – tasked with growing customer numbers, premiums and engagement. You will work with colleagues in marketing, data analytics, sales and product. The design team consist of UI, UX and service designers working in squads to develop, test and iterate on our range or products.
The team is looking for an experienced UX designer, who will be confident in understanding research, designing for scale and journey mapping. They will be equally comfortable running ideation workshops, user testing sessions and taking stakeholders through complex user journeys.

Veygo is an independent company within Admiral Pioneer, a new business within Admiral Group with the objective of seeding, launching, and scaling start-ups.
Veygo is at the forefront of the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) revolution and is growing fast. We want to make life easier for those wishing to share cars, use their own temporarily, or for learner drivers looking to practice in a family member’s or friends’ car. In short, we want to help people be able to get behind the wheel of a car, even if they don’t own one.
Responsibilities
As Senior UX Designer, you will be responsible for:
- Translating product ideas to innovative design concepts, using techniques such as task analysis, wireframing, process flows and prototyping to bring ideas to life
- Improving existing products and services using insights and persuasive recommendations based on sound evidence and benchmarking.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting problems identified within journeys
- Helping to plan and run usability testing sessions remotely
- Conducting regular reviews, benchmarking of competitors and presenting research and concepts in a digestible way.
- Championing design standards, UX patterns and heuristics for web commerce, content and app.
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience with commerce, enterprise, finance or complex self service journeys
- An understanding of the entire end-to-end design process, from research and ideation, to problem-solving through to detailed UX and visual design for users/customers across multiple devices/viewports
- The ability to present and deliver workshops
- Experience conducting and reviewing both moderated and unmoderated user tests
- Knowledge of utilising user research and testing methods to elicit actionable data

Our Recruitment Process
The recruitment process for this position consists of:
- CV Screening
- 25 minute call with Jawad Ahmed (Head of Design)
- 1st Stage Interview: the interview will focus on both behavioural and cultural skills, conducted by Jawad and a member of the design team. 1st stage interviews will be week commencing 4th of April.
- 2nd Stage Interview: the interview will focus on both behavioural and technical skills, conducted by Jawad and David. 2nd stage interviews will be week commencing 11th of April.
Additional Info
Due to Covid-19 the whole Veygo team is working remotely. We will provide you with everything you need to work comfortably from home. We expect you to be working remotely for the foreseeable future, however, after it's safe to return to the office, we have days when the whole team comes together. You can choose how many days you can be in the office as long as we see your face from time to time.
