We are seeking a Senior Social Media and Content Executive with experience of implementing and managing social media and content marketing activity across a range of channels and disciplines.

Role Overview

This is an exciting position within the Growth team and an exciting time to be joining our scale up business.  The Growth team is responsible for identifying and executing growth opportunities through data and experimentation, to drive demand, conversions and retention. 

We strongly believe that best in class products and propositions will form a crucial part of our growth strategy – driving expanded reach and awareness, as well as a competitive advantage.  Executing unique and compelling customer experiences and value for our business will be a key part of our wider marketing strategy.

We are a small but growing team and we’re looking for a hands-on and smart thinker who won’t shy away from getting stuff done and challenging the status quo.  This role will be as much about strategic ability as it is execution.  This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate – the existing team has many senior, experienced members who bring with them a wealth of experience from different backgrounds and we’re looking for a dynamic and ambitious Social Media and Content Executive who is looking to propel their career to the next level. There is genuine potential for quick career growth and development within the team. 

The ideal candidate would have the ability to execute social media video (creation and editing). While this role will primarily focus on owned social content, we would expect some of this content to also serve our paid media plan, therefore an understanding of the different approaches to owned and paid social is key.  


What The Role Involves

  • Social Media Management: 
    • Support on the planning, development and execution of owned social to deliver engaging and impactful content, ensuring activity is managed according to agreed timelines, and within budget. 
    • Be the Growth team’s social media champion, with an understanding of the latest trends, what’s in and what’s not. You’ll need to have your finger on the pulse and be confident to propose new and innovative ways of engaging with audiences via social media.
    • Social media scheduling and community management via Sprinklr, along with tracking and reporting performance of all social media activity, managing the weekly reporting on campaign effectiveness on all owned channels. 
    • Ability to react quickly and to revise social media campaigns where needed to ensure that trends are acted upon (where appropriate). 
    • Manage design and execution of owned social media posts, including writing creative copy and owning implementation.
  • Manage Content Creators & Influencers:
    • Support on the planning, development and execution of influencer content, including identifying relevant creators for different audiences.
    • There will be a need to manage and brief creators directly, including negotiating terms and contracting, as well as influencer agency management.
  • Wider Owned Channels Content Production & Management:
    • In addition to social, there’ll also be a requirement to support on the planning, development and execution of content for all other owned channels, including website, app and CRM channels. This will include SEO articles, video content and supporting with content opportunities via existing partnerships.
  • Brand & Growth Team Champion:
    • Ensuring correct and consistent application of the Veygo branding across all channels to deliver consistency across visual language, TOV and messaging across channels.
    • Collaborating with internal teams, as needed, always maintaining positive working relationships and championing the work of the Growth team.
  • Supporting the Content and Partnerships Lead:
    • Contributing to the wider integrated communications, partnerships and content strategies. 
    • Maintaining accurate records of meetings, decisions and next actions. 
    • Creation of presentations and materials for internal communications and meetings.
  • Third party management: 
    • Liaising with, and act as the link between Veygo and external agencies and suppliers, ensuring strong working relationships with all partners.

Skills & Experience  

  • Experience managing and creating owned social media content, with an   understanding of how this can support paid social activity
  • A thorough understanding of how different social platforms work and how to tailor content for each one
  • Experience in creating native-style content (scripting, filming and editing)
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics (to track social media performance)
  • Proficiency in social media scheduling tools (ideally Sprinklr)
  • Experience in social media community management 
  • Experience in managing content creators and influencers, including negotiating terms and contracts
  • An understanding of SEO content creation (both articles and video)
  • An understanding of how content can support affiliates activity
  • An understanding of how content can support CRM activity
  • Experience delivering content for a 17-27 year old audience would be a bonus
