The Role
This is a newly created position within the Growth team and an exciting time to be joining our scale up business. The growth team is responsible for identifying and executing growth opportunities through data and experimentation, to drive demand, conversions and retention. This role will report into the Head of Brand and Strategy but partner, day to day, very closely with our Product team.
We strongly believe that best in class products, propositions and experiences will form a crucial part of our growth and customer strategy. Our long terms mission to go beyond car insurance to build a life stage brand for GEN Z, that supports their transition to independence. Executing unique and compelling customer experiences and value for our business will be a key part of our growth strategy.
We are a small but growing team and we’re looking for an ambitious, strategic, smart thinker who won’t shy away from getting stuff done and challenging the status quo. This role will be as much about strategic ability as it is execution.
Responsibilies
- Customer Expert: Maintain a deep understanding of our customer and their needs through desk and other research. Always putting the customer first, to deliver best in class customer experiences (in conjunction with the product team), ensuring our messaging is consistent and relevant to our target cohort and support cohort (parents)
- Identify Market Opportunities: For us to grow or develop our portfolio to obtain more market share. Bundling or reskinning products to gain more share of the category.
- Proposition Development: Working in collaboration with the product team build out compelling customer propositions that will resonate/address customer needs/pain points and offer clear differentiation in the market.
- Positioning: Position our products and offers in market in the most compelling way to achieve more sales and sales of higher value.
- Product Messaging: With the product team, help deliver a clear messaging set that give the customer reasons to believe Veygo is the right choice. From key features and benefits, to case studies and optimal UX to achieve results.
- Own Launches to the Market: Ensuring we are maximising every opportunity to win in the market.
- Channel Parity: Ensure our offering is available in all channels to ensure the customer can choose who they would like to interact with us.
- Support: The positioning and delivery of any rewards and loyalty programs.
- Research and Analysis: Staying updated with industry trends, competitors and market opportunities is essential.
Who You Are
- Strong Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Adept at networking, influencing, and collaborating effectively with partners.
- Proven Product Marketing Experience: You will have previously worked in a Go to Market or Product Marketing position, and have knowledge of the Gen Z audience.
- Strategic Thinker: Strategic mindset with an ability to identify potential opportunities, understand market trends, and develop this thinking into compelling propositions in line with our brand purpose.
- Excellent Communication: Effective communication is crucial for this role. The ideal candidate can articulate their ideas clearly and build consensus among internal and external stakeholders. They can negotiate effectively, write compelling proposals, and deliver impactful presentations and Go to Market plans.
- Customer Curious: Continually striving to maintain and share a deep understanding of the Gen Z world with the aim of shaping our products, propositions and communications in order to respond to their distinct needs and key life-stages they're navigating.
- Collaborative Team Player: A team player who can collaborate across functions, align goals, and foster a positive and cooperative work environment.
- Business Acumen: A solid understanding of marketing principles, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape. You’ll need to be aware of industry trends.
- Analytical and Creative Thinking: You’ll be as proficient analysing data, identifying patterns, to draw meaningful insights, as thinking creatively to develop innovative partnership strategies that differentiate the company from competitors and drive growth.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Adapting quickly to changes, navigate ambiguity, and embrace new opportunities and challenges that arise in the partnership landscape.
Please note: this is a hybrid role where you will be required to work fro our Cardiff office at least once per fortnight.
