"An exciting opportunity has arrisen in Toolbox by Admiral for a Product Marketing and Campaigns Manager to join the growing Marketing team!
We are a start-up in a corporate venture builder, hitting our stride. We’re looking for a Product Marketing and Campaigns Manager to join us as we begin our scale-up phase and expand our Growth & Marketing team.
You’d be our lead on Product Marketing and Campaigns, and will launch product marketing for Toolbox.

We're looking for someone who:
- Is excited about helping the UK’s self-employed people and small businesses
- Has experience working closely with a product team to take products and features to market and deliver commercial results
- Is ready with plenty of creative ideas, and enough practicality to adapt them
- Can understand the ambiguity that happens in a new organisation, and create structure out of it
- Has experience in a corporate and/or start-up environment (marketing or brand agency experience is also welcome, in addition)
- Can lead conceptualisation, planning, and implementation of cross-channel campaigns
- Can mentor and upskill junior colleagues
Your responsibilites would be:
- Build our product marketing function. Own the development of value propositions, core content, and go-to-market strategy for all Toolbox products.
- Spearhead all product campaigns, including go-to-market campaigns, audience-specific/customer segment campaigns, and partnership activation campaigns.
- Work closely with our Product function to define product marketing requirements, messaging, and target audience; then work closely with the rest of our Growth and Marketing team to conceptualise, develop, and execute creative campaigns across relevant channels (Paid, Organic, Social, Cross-Sell, Brand/PR, eCRM, Partnerships). Serve as lead on all product campaign creative direction, messaging, and copywriting.
- Work closely with our Data Science team to turn first-party customer insights into new campaigns and propositions.
- Work closely with our Product and Design functions to turn our website into a vehicle for growth; own all product- and segment-related homepage content as well as campaign landing pages.
- For new products, build out sales enablement materials for our partnerships team and call centre.
You'll be working with:
- Our Head of Growth & Marketing as your line manager
- Our Product team as your main internal customer
- Our channel managers and Brand Marketing manager as your peers
- Our Service Designers, who look after customer discovery and product conceptualisation, understanding customers’ needs, behaviours, and motivations
- Our Subject matter experts in Underwriting, Claims, Operations, Tech, and other areas, who make sure our customers have robust products that add huge protection and value to their businesses
This will be a hands-on job, but you’ll have tons of support from our driven, fun-loving team of professionals.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience of marketing and/or product experience, preferably including scale-up experience
- Experience in working with customer data in a CRM platform
- Deep expertise in uncovering customer needs, understanding market context/competition, developing targeting strategies, positioning, and differentiated value propositions and messaging
- Immaculate writing skills and strong storytelling ability
- A collaborative approach; you will need to work across functions to drive results
- Commercial mindset and ability to prioritise among a wealth of opportunities based on expected business outcomes

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
