"About Veygo
Veygo is an independent company built and owned by Admiral operating within the Admiral Pioneer business. Admiral Pioneer is a new business within Admiral Group with the objective of seeding, launching, and scaling new businesses that will become one of the growth engines for Admiral in the future.
Veygo is one of these new businesses and at the forefront of the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) revolution, providing transport solutions for customers with and without cars. We want to make life easier for those wishing to share cars, use their own temporarily, or for learner drivers looking to practice in a family member’s or friends’ car. In short, we want to help people be able to get behind the wheel of a car, even if they don’t own one.
We are building a dynamic and energizing environment where we will provide all the excitement and freedom of a scale-up but with the support and stability of an established large organisation. As of today, we have a strong team of 80, but with a clear idea of where we want to go in the next few years, we need to strengthen it to keep pushing forward. We seek to recruit bright, passionate people who have a can-do attitude who look at the world and see the opportunity in our own small way, to make it better for our customers.
What kind of person are we looking for?
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual who may have experience of working within a Continuous Improvement (CI) Team or someone looking for a career change and to build on the significant business experience they have acquired over the years to add real value to an exciting business.
This role requires a natural restless curiosity that means you challenge the status quo, ask why, and have that innate desire to change ‘things’ for the better – for our customers, our colleagues, and the business.
This role will report into an experienced Operational Excellence Leader who will support you in your development in learning and applying Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodologies and tools but you will want to learn new ways of working and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure you quickly develop.
You will be part of a small team that will be tasked with delivering big targets. As a minimum the Operational Excellence Team will have to deliver a 3:1 return on investment for the function to ensure it remains a viable proposition. To do this, you will have to identify areas where the business can improve its performance by either creating growth opportunities, delivering cost out initiatives, cost avoidance projects or identifying efficiency gains.
You will be excited by the opportunity to make a difference, thrive under pressure, be comfortable with ambiguity and be ready to learn.
You will live and breathe the continuous improvement culture that you be helping to define and embed.
You’ll be comfortable collecting, analysing and reporting data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the creation, maintenance, and delivery of a portfolio of change initiatives that drive the business forward and return a 3:1 RoI for the team
- Good analytical skills and have strong excel skills
- Creating and sustaining a continuous improvement culture whilst designing and embedding a Veygo specific LSS operating model/methodology
- Effectively communicating the LSS way of working to stakeholders, teams, and key users
- Defining, maintaining, and delivering a portfolio of change initiatives that drive the business forward
- Creating, implementing, and maintaining all front-line SOPs and process flows redesigning and retraining any continuous improvement ideas to ensure consistency on the front line
- Optimising existing operational systems and ways of working
- Working with the Operations, Product, Growth, and IT to ensure delivery of new initiatives, products and systems as seamlessly as possible, ensuring business readiness
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience of identifying and supporting a portfolio of change initiatives with demonstrable business benefits
- Good analytical skills and have strong excel skills.
- A LSS qualification of yellow belt and above, or equivalent
- Experience of a CI culture and embedding this in day-to-day roles
- Evidence of making real improvements and delivering change initiatives
- An understanding of front-line operations and financial services
- Proven experience of developing strong stakeholder relationships across all levels
- An understanding of budget control, financial analysis, and benefit tracking
