About The Role

At Admiral Business, we exist to give small businesses the confidence they need to succeed, by protecting them with hassle-free insurance tailored to their needs. As a Marketing Manager (Growth Team), you’ll play a key role in supporting us reach and engage more SME customers through creating and delivering marketing campaigns and content which deliver business and customer value.

Key Responsibilities:

In your role as a Marketing Manager, you’ll support the Head of Growth to create, deliver, measure and optimise marketing activities to acquire and retain customers, with a focus on our creative and content outputs. This includes:

  • Support the Head of Growth in developing effective marketing strategies to drive traffic, generate leads, improve conversion rates, grow customer sales, and drive retention to generate strong customer LTV and commercial ROI.
  • Lead on the creative development for our key brand touchpoints, including (but not limited to): website (incl. SEO), paid media campaigns (e.g. digital & offline), social media, events, email, product marketing, merchandise and broker marketing collateral.
  • Engage in hands-on creative development of BAU marketing material as required: crafting compelling marketing copy and content that resonates with our target audience, e.g. blogs, email copy, social media posts; leveraging design tools (Figma, Canva) to create or resize marketing assets.
  • Lead development of creative/content briefs to external partners and internal teams to ensure that business, customer and campaign needs are met.
  • Manage the marketing campaign calendar, aligning with brand, product and customer events throughout the year and collaborating with key stakeholders accordingly.
  • Develop customer-centric product marketing toolkits, ensuring our products, their features and benefits are communicated in a simple, compelling and consistent way across touchpoints – both for the direct SME audience, partners and our brokers.
  • Brainstorm and develop innovative marketing ideas that align with our overall brand strategy and target specific audience segments.
  • Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to understand industry trends and inform marketing strategies
  • Analyse campaign performance across the customer journey, sharing creative and audience insights, learnings and recommendations to improve performance, strategy and overall ROI.
  • Manage all aspects of the campaign process, incl. use of project management tools (e.g. Jira), managing budgets and invoicing, reporting, and end-to-end sign off process of assets and content with relevant stakeholders (e.g. compliance, product, underwriting, agency partners).
  • Collaborate with key counterparts within Pioneer and the wider Admiral business to gather and share insights, opportunities and challenges to drive synergies across business entities.

Experience / Competencies

  • Considerable experience in an integrated marketing role.
  • Experienced in managing a range of marketing channels, with a priority focus on SEO, web content, social and offline channels (e.g. radio, print).
  • Hands-on experience in writing / editing copy and editorial content (e.g. blogs, emails, social posts).
  • Strong creative experience, with demonstrated experience creating solutions which improve customer engagement.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns that drive engagement, conversion, and revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proven ability to interrogate cross-channel data to derive insights which inform creative, audience and overall marketing strategy.
  • Customer-obsessed, with a continual focus on deepening understanding of customer needs, pains and gain creators to drive value.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to craft compelling and persuasive marketing content.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative personality, with effective relationship management skills (internal and external).
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Creative and curious about finding solutions to anticipate and meet our customers’ needs.
  • Proven track record of managing and working with a group of diverse stakeholders of different levels both internally and externally.
