An opportunity has arisen in Admiral Money for a Compliance Executive to join us on a 12-month fixed term basis!

About Admiral Money

Admiral Money is an exciting division of Admiral Group, focused on meeting customers lending needs.

The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future, including launching into second charge mortgages.

We’re looking for people who are keen to learn, excited about getting stuck in and are ready for a challenge to help us to achieve our aim of creating a special lending business for our customers.

The Role

This role will support the compliance function providing second line assurance across these product lines.

Duties include:  

  • Promote good customer outcomes in everything that you do, including attendance at various governance forums.
  • Contribute to delivery of the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Continually improve Compliance Review systems and processes
  • Reporting to management on levels of Compliance Assurance and/or any issues arising from specific monitoring activity
  • To identify, communicate and advise on changes in FCA and other associated regulatory and legislative requirements, so that the business meets regulatory and associated industry standards.
  • To contribute to the development of departmental policies and compliance controls through regular reviews and updates including approval of relevant procedures, to ensure standards are in accordance with regulations and associated legislation.
  • Provide advice, guidance, direction and interpretation to the business
  • Provide review and approval of financial promotions for the business, ensuring compliance with relevant regulation.
  • Handle any Compliance queries that are generated by the organisation in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • To provide compliance input into Group developments, including product launches, distribution and systems developments, to pre-empt any changes to regulations and legislation to enable the business to react quickly and effectively.
  • Review requirements of the FCA handbook, news articles and relevant CPs and PSs summarising them/preparing a relevant report or bringing them to the attention of the Compliance Manager, as necessary, for further discussion with the business.

Skills and Experience

  • Able to identify poor customer outcomes and make appropriate recommendations to drive change.
  • Experience in a Compliance role, including performing Monitoring reviews.
  • Sound knowledge of FCA & CCA regulation.
  • Knowledge of the Senior Managers & Certification Regime and Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Experience with unsecured personal loans, car finance and/or second charge mortgages.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Objective, timely and confident decision-making skills.
  • Can manage and prioritise your own workload.
