About This Role
This role is part of the wider data capability being delivered by Admiral Money, focused on the timely delivery of reports and insights enabling our business to make faster and better decisions. Working across Microsoft PowerBI, Excel, and Amazon Redshift, the BI Manager is responsible for the design, creation, and maintenance of regular reporting, and supporting the business with bespoke analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of a reporting suite, managing data models and ensuring the data quality of reporting
- Manage the access to data and reporting in consultation with the Data team, ensuring the protection of our customers’ data within reporting and BI workflows.
- Working directly with the product and credit risk and pricing teams to help establish to high value data and insights
- Analyse and communicate the commercial and operational performance of the business and assist teams in identifying opportunities for greater growth.
- Work with the Data team to identify and curate new datasets to support BI and analytical activity. Quality test and validate curated datasets and support the maintenance of the data dictionary.
- Work closely with the users to help improve their usefulness, and to collaboratively identify potential high value reports and analytics.
- Support, coach, and mentor junior colleagues and analysts across multiple products.
Requirements:
- Ability to build reports and dashboards in Microsoft PowerBI, including designing and managing report specific data models to serve customer through multiple applications
- Solid SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL or Amazon Redshift ideal) and an ability to drive query performance and efficiency
- Ability to translate customer requirements into clear and concise reports which enable business decisions
- Capable of analysing data to find insights to help improve decision making
- Experience in a BI/MI/Reporting/Analytics function
- Experience in Agile delivery methodologies, particularly SCRUM or Kanban
