With approximately 120 vacancies across Admiral Tech looking to be filled throughout 2021, there is a vision for considerable expansion on the technology currently in use. With this opening a fantastic opportunity for talented tech heads to join our dynamic workforce we asked David Darby, Chief Technology Officer, to discuss the vision for Admiral Tech.
What’s the most exciting project or upcoming change happening within Admiral Tech?
Admiral is on a journey to Admiral 2.0, an organisation that maintains our historical strengths but is more agile and digital first. To support the journey to Admiral 2.0 we are building a next generation architecture, leveraging cloud, data, analytics and digital to continually improve customer experience and place the customer at the heart of everything we do.
What do you think really sets Admiral Tech from the competition?
Admiral is a great place to work and has been recognised as one of the UKs best places to work for the last 21 years. Like many organisations, the Covid pandemic enforced remote working on us, but in typical Admiral style we have risen to the challenge and embraced smart working while maintaining our culture. Going forward we will have a balance of home and office working that is tailored to individuals and their roles.

Do you think there are lots of opportunities to grow and develop here?
Admiral Tech has an exciting agenda that provides opportunities for our staff to grow and develop by working with leading edge technologies and collaborating with leading technology partners. Beyond Tech, there are always opportunities for colleagues to move departments and work in other parts of the business, both in the UK and further afield.
