Job Purpose

The travel department is in an exciting phase of growth and as a result we now have a very exciting opportunity for a training role that will support the current and future development of our operational functions including both the service area and claims.

We are looking for an individual who has a grasp of all things training related, who can use their skills and experience to develop creative and exciting training solutions in the new hybrid world that helps to engage and enhance the capabilities of our existing and future people.  

The successful candidate will be confident and an excellent communicator, who can capture the attention of their audience and motivate people through the medium of training. The successful candidate will also have the ability to engage with the wider department, becoming a visible and valuable presence, to support and develop all.

The successful candidate will have experience in training and be able to demonstrate a highly organised approach to dealing with a varied and interesting workload. The ability to manage your time effectively is important; the role will include engaging with the wider department, training design, delivery of training, regular training needs analysis and project work. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out induction training for new starters in claims and sales/service teams
  • Assist in carrying out ongoing training needs analysis of the department and developing solutions to meets the development needs of our people
  • To deliver training sessions as required
  • Creating and maintaining an awareness of training within the department
  • Assist in developing accurate ways of measuring the success of the training delivered 
  • Building on your current knowledge to ensure that you can provide training in all areas of Travel products
  • Liaising with and supporting Team Managers with the delivery of training

Skills and Attributes required: 

  • Candidates must have experience of developing and delivering training
  • Confident and the ability to motivate people through active learning
  • Positive and energetic outlook to new challenges and ways of developing others
  • An excellent communicator at all levels and comfortable presenting to others in a number of different ways
  • Quick learner and ability to adapt effectively to changing demands
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint application
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work off your initiative
  • The ability to manage their time well

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
