Job Purpose

In March 2021, the FCA and PRA published several Supervisory Statements outlining their expectations for the operational resilience of Firms’ Important Business Services. The objective of those statements is to ensure that Firms, Financial Market Infrastructures, and the financial sector can prevent, adapt, respond to, recover, and learn from operational disruptions. The regulation will be fully operational, and Admiral will need to be fully compliant by March 2025.

On a 12-Month Secondment in this role, you will coordinate and support the continuous resilience of Third Parties from an Operational Resilience perspective, embedding and managing the Third Party and Outsourcing Regulation within EUI. This will include ensuring the business is identifying and controlling risks throughout the relationship, advising on procurement activity, supplier performance and contract adherence appropriately, to provide oversight to Senior Management.

The role will always require a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. 

Main Duties

  • Support the development and delivery of the Third-Party Resilience framework in line with the Regulation, confirming that it is embedded across EUI and in line with regulatory obligations.
  • Producing documentation in line with the Operational Resilience regulation
  • Aid Group Procurement to facilitate the integration of Operational Resilience Third-Party Framework requirements into the EUI Procurement and Outsourcing Framework and procedures. Including, training materials.
  • Aid business areas to implement and embed Third-Party resilience requirements in line with the regulation.
  • Working collaboratively with multiple departments, across the business to ensure all necessary documentation and actions are completed.
  • Create and oversee the Third-Party Operational Resilience MI Dashboards and ensuring all data is collated accurately and on time.
  • Facilitating and performing scenario testing across Third Parties to assess current state and identify vulnerabilities that feed the ongoing remediation plans.
  • Review change activity across the business to assess and understand potential Third Party and Operational Resilience impacts..
  • Engage with EUI Risk on the identification, monitoring, managing, and reporting of emerging risks/environment scanning that can affect the firm’s operational resilience A
  • Attend appropriate Working Groups/ Committees as necessary to provide updates, consistency, and assurance around Supplier risks.
  • Provide training to management and operational areas on the identification and management of third-party resilience risk in our supplier chain and in our suppliers’ delivery of services to EUI and its Customers

Role requirements

  • Knowledge or awareness of one or more of the following is preferable.
    • Operational Resilience, Business Continuity or Financial Services regulations and environment.
    • Procurement and Supply Chain practices.
    • Knowledge and understanding of governance frameworks, risk, and compliance.
  • Ability to analyse information or situations and make informed decisions or recommendations. Methodical with good attention to detail.
  • Experience in developing and establishing procedures or processes.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various businesses, key support functions, and decision makers across the business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to create and deliver clear and concise reports.
  • Confident running workshops and meetings.
  • Receptive to feedback, adaptable and willing to learn.
  • The ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and to prioritise a varied workload.
  • Self-assured – be able to confidently request, challenge and amend information as necessary.
  • The ability to work as a team member as well as being able to work under own initiative.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and effectively influence, advise, and support people throughout the organisation.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams experience.
