You will support the delivery of our consumer PR activities and brand reputation strategy which support business objectives whilst building brand recognition and boosting consideration. 

The role holder will provide a first-class communications service and should be comfortable dealing with external stakeholders, journalists and internal colleagues at every level in the organisation. 

 

As a PR Executive you will

  • Execute the delivery of consumer PR campaigns and reactive activities that generate positive, focused and measured media coverage about our products and services.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to deliver integrated campaigns which work effectively across all communication channels and support our business objectives.
  • Work closely with the Content and SEO team on digital PR campaigns and the creation of editorial content to support SEO initiatives.
  • Monitor, review and report on the success of our PR activities against key competitors to continuously improve on delivery against key metrics - presenting to stakeholders as required.
  • Work with our external PR agency to research and write engaging, consumer interest stories that will provide us with positive coverage in key media.
  • Respond to inbound media queries for information, commentary or statements, work with relevant internal stakeholders to provide responses to ensure the best outcome for Admiral in any resulting media coverage.
  • Work in a fast-moving team, the role holder will be able to prioritise and manage several competing priorities, while delivering day-to-day tasks. 
  • Conduct data research activities and submit data requests to the relevant teams to support campaigns.
  • Proactively seek out editorial opportunities where Admiral can position itself as an industry expert.
  • Provide support during crisis situations and brand reputational risk events, escalating to relevant Heads of Departments in emergency situations.
  • Ensure all work aligns with marketing, compliance, IT and product team requirements.
  • Collaborate with our corporate communications team to promote Admiral Group led initiatives that demonstrate our brand purpose and enhance our reputation.
  • Deliver projects from concepts to final output within tight deadlines, ensuring that internal processes are followed, assets meet creative briefs and the relevant approvals are in place.
  • Act as brand guardian, ensuring all Admiral Group social content is on brand and in line with digital tone of voice guidelines to maintain a consistent and relevant user experience across each channel.
  • Support the marketing team on other PR campaigns and projects as required.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices and recommend innovations for implementation.
  • Complete regular company-wide internal training as well as any external training relating to the role.

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • PR experience (preferably within Financial Services) with a strong knowledge of the media landscape
  • Self-starter, able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret data and identify key statistics
  • Be a creative thinker who can work accurately under pressure. 
  • Work independently, but also closely with a team.

 

Educational Qualifications Required

  • A degree or equivalent in one of the following
    • Communication and media studies
    • Journalism
    • English and creative writing
    • Marketing

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
