An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UK Holistic Product leadership team. UK Holistic are aiming to join the dots between Admirals products and provide our Customers with one central account management tool. Labelled the Single Pane of Glass, the aim is to provide our customers with an overview of all their products and policies, and seamlessly navigate them to all the different features within the application. The Product Lead will focus on defining the Product Vision, setting Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and ensuring that the Single Pane of Glass, is an integral part of the organisation's strategy. The role involves defining the Vision and Strategy, prioritising the backlog for change, ensuring accurate requirements for the IT development team, and maintaining a customer-centric approach.

Main Duties & Accountabilities

  • Feed ideas, opportunities, challenges, and risks into current and future development strategy.
  • Coordinate and communicate prioritisation of the Agile Release Train (ART) portfolio in all forums.
  • Understand and communicate the vision and value of the development work assigned.
  • Represent the customer and ensure their needs are at the forefront of all changes implemented in the app development.
  • Analyse and communicate Management Information (MI) using various analytics tools and internal MI data relevant to app performance.
  • Track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement in functionality and user experience.
  • Support the development of business cases and set level 2 OKRs for app projects.
  • Partner with business owners and act as their primary point of contact for app portfolio planning and progress.
  • Play an active role in product leadership team meetings and initiatives.
  • Drive continuous preparation of the next planning increments and co-lead planning increment events alongside Delivery Leads.
  • Support coordination and prioritisation of dependencies related to development.
  • Support the Senior Product Owners in running the Product Community of Practice efficiently.
  • Manage and develop the Product Owners
  • Assist the Delivery Lead in driving overall ART performance.
  • Set the vision and serve as an escalation point for conflict resolution within the development team.

Experience/Skills Required

Essential

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the latest development trends and best practices.
  • Ability to understand and create a backlog to achieve the product vision.
  • Strong customer focus with a keen understanding of web user experiences.
  • Experience working within Agile teams, particularly in app development environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective communication at all levels.
  • Ability to build good working relationships within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of current customer journeys and ways to improve them with a customer-centric approach in app development.
  • Knowledge of compliance elements to ensure good customer outcomes
  • People management experience, especially in leading cross functional teams.
  • Confidence to challenge existing work practices and propose innovative solutions.
  • Understanding of Agile ways of working and practices
  • Analytical skills with problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to create robust business cases and monitor their success post-release in the market.
  • Keen eye for detail in app design and functionality.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change in the fast-paced app development industry.
  • Experience working within an Agile development structure
  • Understanding of Jira and its application in development project management.
