As we expand our Unsecured Loans Team, we're on the lookout for a technically strong Pricing Lead to use our class leading decisioning engine and cloud data tech stack including ML to make our product even more competitive.
Role Overview
We are seeking a technical leader to drive our ambitious Pricing & Profitability Roadmap. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in delivering advanced optimisation models and a framework of continuous improvement and innovation. Reporting to the Head of Pricing, this role demands close collaboration with the Finance and Credit Risk teams.
The candidate will spearhead our prediction of customer behaviour and how to optimise using the results, manage pricing processes, and further develop our dynamic pricing model, transforming it into a premier asset for the business. With substantial investments in enhancing our pricing model's technical capability, the successful candidate will be at the forefront of innovation, integrating data science methodologies into pricing models to deliver added value.
Upon demonstrating the necessary skills and understanding, there is potential for increased responsibilities and significant development in the existing structure. The candidate is expected to coach and nurture junior team members across the division, unlocking their full potential.
Our recent initiatives include moving to a new pricing methodology, rebuilding the full pricing process for ease of innovation and developing standardised pricing tools to speed up decision making. These advancements have positioned us to refine our risk predictions, optimize selection processes, and ultimately bolster our performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own our optimisation function, developing new models to predict customer behaviour.
- Drive technical excellence across the department.
- Lead regular pricing monitoring and optimisation processes, whist innovating existing models and developing improved alternatives.
- Perform details pricing analysis to inform decision making.
Key Requirements
- Profiicent in SQL & Python.
- Previous experience either in a Lending business or in a Pricing, Commercial, Credit Risk or Analytics role.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Hybrid Working
The successful candidate will be expected to work from our Cardiff office at least 1 day per week.
