We are looking for a People Advisor to join our People Services team on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract, you must be available to start within the next 3 weeks.

You will support the delivery of an impactful, high-quality strategic People partner service to the business through the delivery of HR led initiatives and projects that meet customer needs, drives achievement of commercial business objectives ensuring actions are aligned with policies and cultural values. 

You will be responsible for

Supporting the delivery of an impactful People Partnering Service by:

  • Supporting the People partner team with internal/external environmental analysis (e.g., SWOT, PESTLE, Five Forces etc) to identify future opportunities for innovation, change, improvement, reduction of people risk, and ensure plans are developed, prioritised, and agreed accordingly. 
  • Working with the People partner team & key stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines and create a road map. 
  • Overseeing the implementation of HR initiatives, ensuring tasks are completed on time. 
  • Identifying potential risks and develop strategies to overcome obstacles to ensure the delivery of the initiatives remain on track. 
  • Working with Learning and Development in identifying, developing, implementing learning strategies and programmes to complement initiatives.

Developing and maintaining productive senior stakeholder relationships by:

  • Building and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders to become a trusted partner and ensure their involvement and support whilst driving initiatives. 
  • Working in collaboration with People Operations and Centres of Excellence to deliver a unified service and lead people centred workstreams and projects in their business area. 
  • Demonstrating credibility and competency to enhance stakeholder confidence of People Operations. 
  • Acting as a consultant to the leadership team in your business area and as an ambassador for the People Services function and custodians of its culture ensuring that we uphold the four pillars of “Communication, Equality, Reward and Recognition and Fun.” Influencing the business to follow our lead in living and breathing Admiral’s culture and values. 

Providing insight by:

  • Using people data effectively to make informed business decisions and forecast longer term business needs and trends. 
  • Providing input and insight to key stakeholders, the People Operations Manager, and the wider People Services Leadership team. 

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation. 
  • Proactive and emotionally resilient. 
  • Emotionally intelligent, adapts communication style to the audience to achieve best outcome. 
  • Confidently make decisions and objectively justify them. 
  • Confident in working independently but skilled at collaboration do deliver results. 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Generalist HR Experience in a demanding fast paced generalist role.
  • Working knowledge of Employment Law and of current HR best practice, trends, and changes. 
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects, change initiatives and as change champion. 
  • Proven ability to develop and effectively manage relationships with stakeholders. 
  • Experience supporting management with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Desirable:
  • Degree calibre.

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
