"About the role
You will sit within the Evolution of Motor group within the Business Development team. The team works directly for our Group CEO, Milena Mondini, and focuses on three key areas: strategy, new ventures, and product – both in the UK operations and internationally. In turn, the Evolution of Motor group assumes the team’s mandate by focusing specifically on preparing Admiral to medium/long-term disruption brought by new mobility trends.
The role will bridge advisory and hands-on execution to set strategic goals, explore opportunities, solve problems and drive growth. You will be able to shape your own path and will be given the support and tools you need to progress within the company. International opportunities may also be available.
Main Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of strategic projects within Admiral’s Evolution of Motor strategy pillar. These may include, among others, projects on electric / connected cars, fleet insurance and/or subscription-based insurance
- Participate in Admiral’s mobility forum, our strategic steering group with senior management on the Evolution of Motor
- Facilitate knowledge sharing around Admiral’s businesses on initiatives related to the Evolution of Motor and help produce content on latest mobility trends
- Assist in developing strategies for the business, including proactively suggesting new projects
- Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, and developing final recommendations
- Communicate findings to senior management and to the broader organization
- Work with various stakeholders to take products from ‘test and learn’ into ‘production’
- Research new products that the Group are interested in exploring in the future
Essential criteria
- At least 2+ years’ experience in an advisory or project management position
- A passion for emerging trends in mobility (e.g., electrification, automatization, gig-economy) and/or for innovative ways of offering insurance
- Strong people instinct and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical and strategic approach
- Pragmatic and results-oriented
Desirable criteria
- Past experience on either electric vehicles, telematics, fleet insurance, Mobility as a Service or FinTech
- Entrepreneurial, ambitious and innovative mindset
- Confidence working directly with senior management
- Strong presentation skills
- Personality and a sense of humour (we believe work should be fun!)
- Some knowledge of one our operational languages (French, Italian, Spanish) is a bonus
