The People Services function is leading a strategically important change programme for Admiral’s UK based businesses, and requires excellent Project Management skills to support the successful delivery. 

Working as a key member of the programme, the Project Manager will be responsible for driving delivery of key aspects of the change in a considered way -  on time, within scope and within budget.

The role involves working with a wide range of stakeholders and subject matter experts on scoping,  creating and delivering robust project plans, risk management, and strong stakeholder relationships. 

The programme is in initiation with aggressive timescales so the ability to rapidly integrate into the programme is essential.  HR change experience is favoured to enable this.

Roles and Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role are detailed below, this is not an exhaustive list.

  • Lead and drive all aspects of Project delivery to successful closure
  • Scope, create and manage project plans
  • Track and manage risks and issues that will impact the project delivery
  • Manage dependencies within the programme
  • Develop and maintain a close relationship with business stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects
  • Communicate project progress to senior stakeholders
  • Take an active role in discussions about potential solutions and next steps
  • Own and manage the project documentation
  • Align to governance and reporting requirements within the programme inc working groups, steering groups, and senior leader forums
  • Ensure the critical success factors of the project are set and met
  • Guarantee that project quality standards are met
  • Ensure all sensitive information related to any projects are not disclosed to anyone outside of the programme

  • Ability to integrate within a programme ASAP, creating clarity and value early
  • A flexible and dynamic problem solver who can create solutions and manage workplace differences.
  • An effective communicator who can positively influence stakeholders at all hierarchical levels.
  • Able to reflect on performance, share lessons learned and adjust where necessary.
  • A team player who is reliable and supportive of others
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Flexible and able to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to quickly understand new concepts and principles
  • HR change experience is favoured

Salary, Benefits, and Work-Life Balance
