About the Role:
Admiral Insurance (FTSE: ADM.L) is seeking a motivated and passionate Graphic and UI/UX Designer. Outstanding creativity and a keen eye for detail are essential, plus pro-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications and industry standard design software.
You will be joining a dynamic Creative team in a vibrant Marketing department. Responsible for all Admiral Group insurance products across multiple brands – you will report to the Creative Director and take on on a range of responsibilities including:
- Responsive web layouts
- Graphic and information design
- UI/UX design
- Landing pages
- Form design
- Emails
- Rich-media web advertising
- Social media assets
We’re looking for exceptional:
You enjoy working under your own initiative to produce full-fledged designs, illustrations, wireframes, and user journeys that engage consumers and improve the customer experience.
You’re an excellent communicator, have an appreciation of direct marketing copy, nudge theory, outstanding layout and composition skills, an insatiable need to simplify complex problems, and an enthusiasm to create compelling user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Designing compelling responsive web page layouts
- Working with content to improve customer experience and SEO
- Creating user-centric customer journeys and forms
- Developing ideas with storyboards, wireframes, process flows and sitemaps
- Designing user interface elements (menus, tabs and widgets)
- Creating original graphic designs (info-graphs, images, icons and illustrations)
- Adherence to style standards on fonts, colours and images
- Responsive email design and content
- Adherence to marketing brand styles
- Compliance with tone-of-voice, corporate and legislative standards
- Creative thinking / problem solving / challenging the status quo
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Graphic design
- UI and UX design
- Sound illustration and composition skills
- Comprehensive understanding of responsive web design
- Sound knowledge and experience of Apple Mac systems
- Figma, XD, Sketch, Affinity Designer, Illustrator, Adobe CC Suite, Pixelmator Pro
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Animation and video
- Designing and producing artwork for print
- 3D illustration and animation
- Google Web Designer
- MVT and A/B testing
Education:
- A degree in design would be essential/mandatory
Your Portfolio:
We want to discuss a portfolio that demonstrates an understanding of end-to-end design, from brief through research, ideation and problem-solving to execution – all seasoned with real creative work experience.
We’d love to see exciting, contemporary, creative design solutions with a flair for typography, composition, illustration, information design, and maybe a touch of animation.
