This growth trajectory along with more integrated ways of working, means we’re creating a new department, bringing together our Content and our Digital design expertise for the first time to deliver excellence for the business.
Our Brand team and Strategic Creative agency partner, McCann, will set the creative direction, which then needs to be interpreted and replicated across all our channels: digital estate, email, social media channels, customer communications and even adapting and versioning our advertising assets.
Our Content team, meanwhile, has become increasingly successful at creating strong SEO performing content and we now need to ensure that Content also supports customer journeys and, in line with Consumer Duty, good customer outcomes.
Job Purpose
- You’ll play a pivotal role leading Admiral’s new Creative Content Hub empowering our high performing team to deliver quality, compelling design and content projects on time and on brief
- At Admiral we’re passionate about our people. You’ll lead and develop our inhouse team (currently Senior Designers, Designers, Senior Content Manager and UX copywriter) to deliver high quality work that meets commercial objectives
- We want you to help set the agenda and lead the ways of working for the Hub as the business continues to evolve, building the service and processes we need in order to ensure strong outcomes, through driving change, planning and resource scheduling for the Hub, monitoring effectiveness, and budget management
- You will oversee strategic development and delivery of Content that drives strong SEO performance, builds brand consideration through engaging consumer content that contributes to strong customer journeys
- Championing accessibility and passionate about delivering great outcomes for customers you’ll lead Consumer Duty compliance across our communications including web content and design, emails and documents
- A figurehead for the Hub, you’ll build strong relationships and liaise with the wider business as well as our third party Strategic Creative agency on overall content planning/ scheduling ande delivery
- You will be key to building the Content Hub’s profile and reputation within the business, driving outputs to help the business achieve its business objectives
- Project management of creative projects, including consulting on briefs, overseeing budgets, reporting and supplier management, identifying process improvements and efficiencies, including new technologies, to help us best support the business which is moving towards a scaled agile model
Main day to day responsibilities include (but aren’t limited to)
Project management and smooth running of Content Hub
- Leading and maintaining overview of Content and Design strategies and plans
- Managing multiple projects, tracking and reporting on status to internal clients, demonstrating strong stakeholder management throughout
- Work scheduling for content and design teams, efficiently managing studio time in accordance with delivering business priorities
- Establishing asset control and approval through platforms such as ZiFlow
- Maintaining appropriate business access to these platforms
- Regular analytics reporting and driving continuous improvement throughout
- Striving to improve Studio efficiencies and processes, through people, performance and also recommendation, procurement and onboarding of new and existing tech platforms where appropriate
- Ensure collaboration with Agile Release Trains including Product Owners to ensure that IT change backlog is prioritised in line with delivering value for our customers and the business
- Ensuring creatives have the right info and assets at the right time to complete their tasks includes interrogating incoming briefs
- Ensuring the right jobs are being done by the right people
- Internal stakeholder management including feedback management, communications and client feedback tracking and reconciliation
- Broader Brand & Comms team support
Financial management for the content hub
- Management of studio costs and annual budgets, plus other team costs, as required
- Ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner
- Regular liaison with the finance department
Supporting growth of the content hub
- Lead, motivate and manage a high performing team to deliver valuable work for the business
- Lead editorial committee
- Foster a collaborative and welcoming environment
Candidate profile
What we are looking for
- Experience in a similar or comparable role in a creative, digital marketing or communications agency or in-house environment specific involvement in production/creative/digital marketing content process
- Strong leadership skills to motivate a team of creative subject matter experts
- Highly efficient and organized multitasker with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously with an entrepreneurial zeal to put the Creative Content Hub firmly on a growth trajectory
- Evidence of strong project management and budget management skills
- Excellent communications skills, approachable with good stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Confident, calm and reassuring presence, unfazed by tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
- Strong IT skills
- Experience working within Agile methodology
- Experience of working in a regulated industry
- Experience of working with IT and procurement departments

Salary, Benefits, and Work-Life Balance
