"This is a new and exciting opportunity to manage the operational delivery areas of the People Operations function to ensure that customer service and process efficiency is paramount so that all colleagues receive high levels of customer service and experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Business Services area of the People Operation function to build and maintain a strong cohesive, person-centred, and engaged team.
- Ensure the team are aligned to People Strategy and that people-centred design is a key principle of all work carried out in the team.
- Manage the budget for relevant teams within those functions.
- Provide a valued and high-quality Business Services Department
- Ensure that continuous improvement is embedded in all processes and that the evolution of colleague experience alongside process efficiency continues.
- Identify, manage and develop KPIs, KRIs and OKRs in line with business strategy and need.
- Have a global view of activities across the whole people function and how they interact ensuring full end to end process design and overview sits within the teams.
- Through the team structure, support the business with managing non-complex employee relations issues and performance management that falls within the case management function
- Working with the People Connect Lead and Communications to ensure that colleague communication is both timely and relevant.
- Work with the team to ensure that data is at the heart of all activity, enabling data driven decisions and effective measurement.
- In conjunction with the Business Partnering teams, and CoE in People Services, understand and interpret HR needs for each department and help develop the HR function and the service it provides to the business
- Use people data effectively to make informed business decisions and forecast longer term business needs and trends
- Provide input and insight to the Head of People Operations and the wider People Services Leadership team.
You will ideally have;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Strong analytical, data interpretation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to Negotiate and influence
- Strong HR Operations experience in a similar-sized organisation
- HR systems transformation / implementation experience
- Sound understanding of UK employment law and an ability to apply these appropriately.
- Experience of managing ER cases, initially providing advice to line managers, while training HR Assistants to provide first-line advice.
- Experience of managing resources; people and financial.
- Professional qualification, together with a qualification in Human Resources - CIPD Level 5 or above desirable
- Experience of HR policies
Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
