Team Purpose

Motor Product Insight is a dynamic data analysis team in the motor product area. We work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver data led decisions that deliver tangible results for our customers and Admiral.

About you

  • A keen interest in problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable in analysing and communicating observable trends in data.
  • Approach problems in an imaginative ways and probe available information to reveal new or unexpected insights.
  • Self-motivated and proactive learner.
  • Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Highly numerate, with a structured and methodical approach to problem solving and analysis.
  • Attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Experience in data visualisation and data storytelling.
  • Experience in any or all of the following: SQL, BigQuery, MicroStrategy, Looker or other visualisation tools.
  • Knowledge or experience of using methods of statistical inference.
  • A degree in a numerate discipline.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyse and model data to provide insight to the business.
  • Work together with colleagues from other areas of the business to establish reporting needs.
  • Extract data from both external and internal mediums and to present the insights in a meaningful way to guide both operational and strategic decision making.
  • Create dashboards and 1st-class reports to visualise and communicate data findings and trends.
  • Identify the underlying drivers of trends, provide insightful analysis and commentary on data patterns, and address any issues identified. Ensure effective communication with stakeholders to deliver accurate and relevant analysis, while putting data trends into the context of business objectives.
  • Ensure effective quality assurance has been undertaken on all work and that appropriate caveats are made clear, to guarantee the accuracy of reporting and correct interpretation.
  • Maintain and improve the data quality and integrity of our data and ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through giving and receiving feedback and sharing knowledge.

Location

Admiral Group have a flexible working policy with hybrid working options.  Ideally, you will be able to commute to our office in Cardiff for collaborative, creative and connected work as and when required.
