Infosec Manager

Admiral Pioneer is looking for an Infosec Manager to assist in the continuous development and improvement of security controls and processes across the business.

Security at Pioneer

Pioneer is a cloud only and multi-cloud organisation, you will work with various teams to engineer and support multiple environments to ensure that the systems and data always remain secure. We want to build a positive, inclusive and sustainable security culture through continuous engagement and positive reinforcement of good security behaviours.

InfoSec is part of our amazing tech team who you will work with closely to design, implement and manage security solutions. You will also work with the rest of the business to find the best solutions and achieve our security outcomes, protecting our customers and the organisation.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Risk & Compliance, the Infosec Manager will assist in the continuous development and improvement of security controls and processes across Admiral Pioneer. 

They will promote a culture of security awareness across the business. 

They will need to be comfortable working with senior stakeholders to set the Information Security strategy as well as being comfortable being hands-on.

We want to ensure that Admiral Pioneer is:

• Compliant with appropriate Group and regulatory security standards and requirements
• Following security best practice and continually improving to meet the ever-evolving threat landscape
• Meeting its obligations to keep customer data secure
• Actively monitoring real world threats and taking remediation and mitigating actions as appropriate
• Following a risk-based approach to security controls which balances protection against usability and functionality
• Able to meet the challenges of providing a secure environment for our businesses and teams to develop at pace

For Existing Ventures - Alongside Business CTO’s and Security Personnel Defining and Agreeing:

• Proportionate security guidelines for architecture and engineering
• Proportionate guidelines for network engineering
• KPIs for information security and implementing dashboards
• Necessary security skills and leadership
• Develop security processes and procedures to protect Pioneer and minimise the impact of an incident

For New Business Ventures:

• Security strategy providing a holistic approach to security that works for infrastructure, applications, and development.
• What we need to run in-house and where we should use vendors
• Implementation of ongoing training for staff
• Set the Cyber Incident Response Plan and agree playbooks
• Threat detection and response
• Manage the Cyber Incident Response Plan and take the lead for any ongoing incidents
• Where appropriate - arrange red teaming events to identify weaknesses within security controls

Miscellaneous:

• Providing security consultancy to Pioneer business areas to help them deliver secure solutions.
• Reporting to management, including committees and boards, on the overall threat level, current risks and the ongoing developments of the security programme
• Implementing security controls at the entity level and monitoring effectiveness, making improvements as necessary
• Oversight of a security awareness programme and develop the security culture within Pioneer

Additional Information 

The Infosec Manager will report to the Head of Risk & Compliance for Admiral Pioneer and will have a remit that supports Admiral Pioneer as well as its portfolio of businesses.
