About the job
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled people manager and lead learning facilitator who can bring their experience to engage, inspire and develop others. You will be part of our dedicated team of learning professionals, to ensure that we engage and provide the best possible learning outcomes for our learners in a range of mediums.
Experience in leadership, management and behavioural based learning is a must. This role would suit someone who has previously managed a team, ideally a team of learning facilitators, and has a minimum of 5 years professional L&D delivery experience. In addition, you will need to be passionate about learning, dedicated to developing people and is great with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
Core responsibilities
The main aim of role will be to enable the learning facilitators to develop, inspire and engage the learners providing sticky learning to meet business requirements across all learning needs.
Responsibilities will include:
- Line manage, coach and support the learning facilitators.
- With the support of the L&D admin team, plan the workload for the team to successfully deliver the businesses learning needs.
- Ensure the processes that the team run is fit for purpose and result in successful learning delivery.
- Propose and implement new learning delivery methods, processes and technology based on an understanding of what great looks like both inside and outside of Admiral.
- Report regularly on progress via agree OKRs.
- Work closely with the Learning and Development Management Team and their direct reports to ensure that the learning provision meets the desired outcomes.
- To supporting the ILM centre in Marking and Quality control as necessary.
- To provide engaging and effective learning sessions that deliver measurable outcomes that have been agreed by the learning architect and designer.
Knowledge, core capabilities and experience:
- A proactive and positive mindset orientated towards continuous improvement
- Experience of working with and operating at a senior manager level
- An excellent track record of running successful teams, inspires team members and challenge all levels of staff
- Ability to build open relationships and gain consensus with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong communicator.
- Wide experience of L&D methods, with an in-depth knowledge of adult education and learning techniques.
- Comfortable using data and feedback to drive change.
- A highly collaborative spirit and consistently driving for excellence.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of a learning session making recommendations and improvements when necessary.
- Multi skilled in different facilitation and able to deliver in a variety of channels including podcasts, videos and live/virtual classroom sessions.
- Experience of delivering professional learning sessions including leadership, management, interpersonal, communication skills, change, products, and services.
- An effective coach that has knowledge and experience of using coaching methodology to maximise a coacher's potential.
- Skilled and knowledgeable as a consultant that can advise our business on training solutions that support their goals and strategy
- Desirable to be a practitioner in one or more of the following: Myers Briggs, Insights, Facet 5, Disc or Korn Ferry Leadership.
- Desirable to be accredited at ILM level 7 in leadership and management or have equivalent experience.
Support and reporting lines
- The Lead Facilitator/Facilitation Manager will report into the Learning and Development Manager.
- The Lead Facilitator/Facilitation Manager will work closely with the Solution Architects, Learning Studio Manager, Learning Technologies Manager, Programme Manager and Talent Support Team.
- This role manages a team of facilitators and coaches.
- The Facilitator Lead/Manager will also work with: People Services Business Partners, Heads of Learning and stakeholders in business functions and support function stakeholders with learning requirements.
Location
Admiral Group have a flexible working policy with remote, office and hybrid working options. Ideally, you will be able to commute to our office in Cardiff or Swansea on a weekly basis and be available for face-to-face delivery if required.
