We’re in search of a Senior Learning Partner who brings a blend of passion for learning science, experience design, and consultative approaches. Your role will involve owning the design, delivery, and quality of learning pathways and assets from need identification through to implementation, ensuring they are impactful and meet the desired outcomes.

In our strategic reorganisation, we’re creating a dedicated Learning Studio, adding to our team of experts. This is your chance to develop essential learning solutions across a range of departments, embodying leadership, management, wellbeing and more.

Core responsibilities:

The main aim of the role will be to own the design, delivery, and quality of learning pathways and assets, ensuring they are impactful and meet the needs of our business. Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that Admiral’s learning pathways and assets are aligned with our strategic objectives, are engaging and impactful.
  • Use knowledge of applied learning science and human-centred design to help create amazing learning experiences.
  • Support the development of others through knowledge sharing, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Scope the learning need and confirm the brief.
  • Define impactful and engaging learning solutions (blended, adaptive & personal), learning outcomes, and measures.
  • Oversee the design and development of the pathways and assets.
  • Own the quality process for all assets and quality review the learning asset at every step of the learning cycle.
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders, sign off the learning assets and determine go-live status.
  • Support and run T3 and pilots as required.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve or try new things, leading L&D initiatives to enhance our own business performance.
  • Consult with the wider L&D team, providing L&D and content expertise.
  • Conduct quality assurance as required.

Knowledge, core capabilities and experience:

  • Solution-oriented and creative thinker.
  • Have a consultative approach.
  • A broad knowledge of applied learning science and human-centred learning design.
  • Awareness of the latest learning trends, approaches, tools, and technologies.
  • Resilience under pressure and a highly collaborative spirit.
  • Consistent striving for excellence - and an allergic reaction to 'good enough'!
  • Ability to scope requirements and conceptualise impactful learning solutions to meet strategic objectives or stakeholder requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Extensive blended learning design capability.
  • Ability to deliver engaging learning experiences.

Additional Information

  • We are a hybrid working team and you will be required to come to our Cardiff office 1 day per week (or more if you prefer)

Salary, Benefits, and Work-Life Balance

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.

All colleagues will receive 33 days holiday (including banks holidays) when they join us, and this will increase with length of service, up to a maximum of 38 days (including banks holidays). You also have the option to buy or sell up to five days of annual leave in addition to your allocation.
