Our Graduate Programmes offer you the opportunity to gain vast experience and knowledge, but also the ability to build a foundation and realise the many directions your career could take you in.
We are proud to be the only FTSE 100 company in Wales, based in the capital city of Cardiff. Cardiff is a small, but compact city, with a population of over 340,000. Cardiff is home to world famous sports and entertainment venues and events (including Take That, P!nk, Noel Gallagher, as well as the Rugby Six Nations and the Cricket World Cup in 2019), fantastic shopping and dining, historic castles, beautiful countryside and parks, as well as scenic beaches and coastline.
If you enjoy the feel of a bustling city and vibrant nightlife and want to be in a prime location to develop your career, then Cardiff really has it all to offer in one place. If you are thinking of relocating, we know how daunting it can be. Download our Life in Cardiff brochure to discover what Cardiff has to offer, as well as information on finding your way around the city and finding somewhere to live.
Life at Admiral is quite different to what you might expect from a typical financial services company. We believe people work best when they feel comfortable, so we have a relaxed dress code to allow you to just be yourself. We have a flat structure and open-plan offices as we truly believe in an equal workplace. Since 2006 we have retained 70% of our graduates, which we feel is a fantastic achievement and really goes to show how happy people are to work here (along with our many Great Place to Work awards).
We have an array of benefits for staff, including local discounts, free tickets to sponsored events, flexible working hours, free gym membership and free fruit every day. You can explore all our benefits here.
Admiral has free corporate gym access across all of our sites. In Cardiff, you can enjoy the luxurious facilities at The Hilton or the The Park Plaza hotels. You can use the gym, or just relax in the pool and jacuzzi, it’s up to you!
Training and development is really important to us and one of our most popular benefits is the "Buy a Book Scheme". It is there to help you improve your skills for your career development. You can order up to two books each month up to the value of £75. These can be for specific skills, such as Excel or SAS, or more soft-skills related, such as books on leadership or people skills.
Our offices are purpose-built and designed around the concept that “people who like what they do, do it better”, so we have plenty of space available to chill out and have a break. In Cardiff, we have kitchen and sofa areas with table tennis, pool, foosball, and video games available to play. Each floor is different, so go ahead and explore all we have to offer! You can also just a grab a coffee and watch some TV. If you enjoy socialising after work, our "get-ready-room" has all you need to glam yourself up for a night out. You can also use it to get ready before work, which is handy if you get caught in the rain!
Ty Admiral also has a multi-denominational prayer room open to everyone.
Above all, no matter how many people you ask, it is the people that work here that make this a great place to work. Find out more about what our grads say in our graduate blogs or read more about us and our commitments.
