Admiral Financial Services (AFSL) is looking for a Collections Analyst to join their friendly and industrious team. The successful candidate will collaborate with both the Collections team and the Head of Collections to define and drive the collections strategy employed by said team. The role requires someone who is willing to take responsibility of and drive the collections data, monitoring of reports and evaluation of data, so as to ultimately facilitate the overall collections strategy.

About the Team

This role is based within the AFSL Analytics team but will support the Head of Collections. The Analytics team is situated within the Finance department, led by AFSL’s CFO.  The Collections team is situated within the wider Operations department, led by the Head of Collections who reports into AFSL’s COO.

AFSL was established in 2018 following a successful test of an Admiral Loans product. It is located in the same building as the insurance business, with half of the ~130 employees from external recruitment and the rest from internal transfers.

Main Duties

  • Responsible for identifying the effectiveness of data that matters for collections and facilitating data collection strategy and techniques
  • Designing, developing and maintaining reports
  • Evaluating the reports and data
  • Designing a collections strategy with Head of Collections based on data and findings
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of strategy and suggesting optimisation.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience working within the financial services industry, ideally within a collections and/or analytics capacity
  • A 2:1 or higher in a numerical degree
  • Experience of extracting, manipulating and evaluating data using SAS/SQL/Python/R or similar
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with statistics is an advantage
