People Services Executive - Cardiff

The People Services team in Cardiff is recruiting for a permanent People Services Executive (H.R. Generalist). This is a rare and exciting opportunity to engage with a wide variety of people across the business. 

This is a varied, sometimes demanding, and very rewarding role that will require you to travel between all our UK sites (Cardiff, Newport, and Swansea) to provide help and support to people across the business.  You will receive full training and support.

Main Duties:

  • Welfare support
  • Coaching, advice, and guidance
  • Support departments to maximise attendance and performance
  • Managing employee relations
  • Common sense application of the law within cultural and business frameworks
  • Interpreting MI to provide strategic direction and support
  • Be champions and guardians of the Admiral culture with particular emphasis on Admiral’s four pillars - communication, equality, reward, and fun
  • Identify, cultivate, support and retain talent for the benefit of the business as a whole

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in managing people
  • Ability to build good working relationships across functions and sites
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Logical thinking with good organisational ability
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a thirst for self-improvement
  • Emotional resilience and a track record of maintaining confidentiality
  • Flexibility in adapting to changing business needs
  • An understanding of employment law and HR practices would be beneficial
