The role of Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) Analyst is to support Admiral UK through the identification, control, recording, reporting, verification and auditing of configuration items (CIs) in a centralised Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
The role is responsible for achieving this by ensuring that processes, tools, and correct governance are in place and being used in accordance to the ITIL best practices. SACM is integral to the change management processes, and the role of the Analyst is to ensure that internal teams maintain the integrity of the CMDB through authorised change control mechanisms.
Admiral IT has a long history of supporting the business to innovate and bring new products to market. The department completely refreshed the core policy administration systems in 2016, to allow the department and the business to continue to innovate further in the ever more digital marketplace. The department continues to build on top of and around the core systems, to bring more innovation and technical excellence, including Cloud adoption, Big Data technologies and furthering our digital offerings.
