About the Team

We use Ivanti Endpoint Manager (LANDESK Management Suite), to help us patch our Microsoft Servers and Workstations, and are using Yum with an internally managed repository to help us patch our Linux Servers (CentOS and RHEL).  We use Qualys Vulnerability Scanner to test our systems for vulnerabilities and ensure that we are no longer vulnerable after remediation.

  • Pre and post patching test plans

Some of the tasks we would like to implement will feature:

  • Querying Computer Objects in Active Directory
  • Querying endpoints and the services that run on them
  • Querying DNS entries
  • Comparing against managed devices in Ivanti Endpoint Manager (LANDESK Management Suite) using the API
  • Comparing against data in the Qualys Vulnerability Scanner using the API
  • Reporting on the data found using CSV and LaTeX and sharing these with relevant teams using SMTP

Skills Profile

  • A good understanding of infrastructure and security principles
  • A good understanding of programming languages, with an emphasis on scripting
    • We use .NET (PowerShell, C#) and Python within the team - previous experience of these would be beneficial
  • Ability to understand requirements and interpret them into solutions
  • Keen to learn new technologies and processes
