Admiral Law Specialist Liability Team Manager
As the only FTSE 100 company in Wales, and number one in The Sunday Times Best Big Companies to Work For, Admiral is a passionate, profitable and fast-growing company that strives to deliver excellent customer service and fantastic opportunities.
Admiral’s success goes hand-in-hand with having a strong people focused culture. We believe that happy people make happy customers and happy customers help increase profits. Our philosophy is a simple yet effective one: people who enjoy what they do, do it better.
Admiral Law was created in 2013, to provide legal assistance for all our customers and ensure they are given a great service throughout the life of their claim. Our purpose built, modern office, is in the heart of Newport City Centre, directly opposite the railway station.
About the role:
The Specialist Liability department was established in 2016, in order to service clients who have suffered personal injury as a result of claims arising from employment, public liability, product liability and disease. The department also handles claims for clinical negligence.
The firm focuses on delivering a high standard of care to our clients whilst ensuring we obtain the fairest compensation possible. This role involves managing a team of lawyers and paralegals handling EL, PL and RTA claims but not clinical negligence. The team includes case handlers with a range of technical competence from less experienced to those capable of handling more complex, higher value claims.
We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic, self-motivated and talented individual to join our expanding management team.
We are looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail and a passion for the role. It goes without saying that you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client care and technical development of staff. You will be someone who leads by example and has a good track record of delivering within timeframes. Previous management experience is not essential but is advantageous. A strong knowledge of the Fast Track and Multi Track claims, including litigation and a track record of handling PI files, is essential for this role.
What we can offer you:
Admiral Law is focused on developing all staff; continual feedback and support comes with being part of our dynamic and inclusive management group.
Once you’ve been employed for one year, you will receive up to £3,600 free shares each year. Management shares are also applicable for this role. Did you know that since Admiral Group started the staff share scheme, we have given away over 20 million shares to our staff? At today’s share price, this equates to over £400 million. I think we can safely say you have a share in our success!
Other benefits are far reaching and range from specially negotiated discounts with local and national retailers, through to interest free train and bus season ticket loans (we are really easy to get to). You will also have staff and family discount on our range of products and we also offer a great pension scheme.
At Admiral, we are proud to be a diverse business where we put our people and customers first. We understand that a good work life balance is important, and we want you to have an element of freedom to define a working lifestyle that supports this. We are happy to talk about flexible working.
