A little about us…

This is a unique opportunity to join the Marketing team in Veygo, a new and ambitious InsureTech venture backed by the Admiral Group (UK no.1 car insurance company).

Veygo is disrupting the insurance market by launching insurance products that allow people to borrow or rent a car, for any duration they want, while getting cheap, flexible and transparent cover. This way you don’t need to own a car to drive whenever and wherever you want!

Our three current products are learner driver insurance, car sharing insurance and Veygo Rentals.

We are working to release new products in 2019, and beyond.

As a start up owned by a FTSE 100 Company, our goal is to get the best of both worlds:

  • We are setup as a separate business with our own P&L, independent IT systems built and owned by Veygo and teams that are able to cover all key missions (marketing, IT development, customer service, claims handling).
  • We have all the financial backing of Admiral and access to their great pricing, claims and data experience.

Veygo is growing fast and we are looking for highly talented individuals to reinforce our marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing. 

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Veygo Marketing, you must be a talented web developer with a passion for design and UX. You will be part of a talented marketing team, working closely with the developers to design with mobile in mind. Conversion rate optimisation is a key element of the role.

Main Duties

  • Building responsive web pages
  • Identification and scoping of WordPress plug-in solutions
  • Building user-facing, mobile-based features/widgets
  • Understanding of and solid application of SEO principles to web pages
  • Optimising website for maximum speed and scalability
  • Applying attribution tracking to front-end, and communication with back-end devs re: application to QE (familiarity with GTM/UTM/Media codes is an advantage)
  • Adherence to high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
  • Have a keen eye for conversion rate optimisation
  • Check technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)

Experience and Qualifications

  • Team player, and able to deliver and take on board feedback in a constructive way
  • Proven professional experience in developing commercial websites
  • Innovative and willing to explore new possibilities
  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience working within a Cloud Based environment such as AWS
  • Experience supporting and mentoring other developers
