Responsible to: Technical Manager

Working hours: 39.5 hours a week, flexi

The Role

  • Lead a regular portfolio of supplier continual improvement performance audits, identifying opportunities and compiling high quality concise written report with detailed recommendations
  • Ensuring that recommendations are implemented, and action plans followed
  • Support out Household Claims teams in assessing customer quotes
  • A mix of office based and remote audits of both live and closed claims   
  • Supporting our Quality team with referrals and escalations
  • Vetting work order variation requests
  • Supporting the personal development of our Household Claims teams
  • Be responsible for the delivery of the department audit plan
  • Support on large loss claims for our internal Claims Inspector team
  • Working closely with our supply chain team to drive supplier performance


  • Experience of undertaking audits and quality of work checks to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Experience of working with a schedule of rates
  • Working with contractors and other multiple stakeholders to ensure performance standards are met
  • Auditing the work of a building repair and contents supply chain
  • Experience in dealing with domestic building repairs or similar
  • Responsible for managing own workload on a day-to-day basis and working autonomously
  • Knowledge of common building defects associated with domestic property claims
  • Flexibility to travel as and when is required to undertake audits
  • A current member of a professional body e.g. Chartered institute of builders would be preferable
  • Trades background or experience of undertaking domestic building repairs preferable
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders of all level in a professional and constructive manner
  • Awareness of health and safety considerations relating to domestic properties
