Graduate Role - Causation (LVI and Fraud) Case Handler
Who are we:
We are a specialised team dealing with the most contentious claims in Admiral Law. The Defendant will have accused our client of lying and making a false or exaggerated claim. We take these allegations very seriously.
Our primary aims are to support our clients when these allegations are raised and to help and support them whilst we establish that they are unfounded. We also aim to quickly identify Claimants who are actually making false or exaggerated claims so that we can cease acting for them as quickly as possible so as to protect our reputation in the industry. Here at Admiral Law we have no interest representing clients who seek to exaggerate or falsify their claims.
We are a specialised area with links to many other departments in Admiral Law. We deal with claims both prior to and after issuing court proceedings, putting forward our best arguments as quickly as possible in order to provide the best possible service to our client and to be clear with our opponents about our position. If our opponent is not willing to negotiate a reasonable and appropriate settlement we will, and frequently do, pursue the claim to trial.
There is a lot more to it than that as this is a fast changing and developing area of Personal Injury Law. You can expect to be handling claims where there are complex issues to consider and manage.
Who should apply:
The role requires a lot more investigation work than your average Personal Injury claim so we need someone who enjoys and excels at really delving into the detail of a file. Whether it is trawling social media, bank statements, phone records, telematics data, CCTV, weather records, school records or speaking to witnesses, employers and gyms, the list is endless and the level of detail that we require is significant.
You need to be extremely organised, proactive and to think on your feet as the role will need you to chase lots of information and actively engage with your client and your opponent. You will also need to be a strong communicator that is not easily rattled as your opponent will often be a law firm who are market leaders in defending suspected fraudulent claims. Should you need to issue court proceedings, you will also need to comply with court dates and timetables.
Full training will be delivered to the successful candidates, so we are looking for bright, committed and articulate graduates who are looking to take the first step in the Law Career. To be clear you should have a Law Degree or equivalent qualification to apply, and the classification a minium 2.1.
Candidates with the appropriate level of education will be called to a group assessment day and thereafter the successful candidates will be called to a final interview.
If you want to progress and improve your knowledge of civil litigation quickly and put your wits against some of the market leaders in defending suspected fraudulent PI claims then this is the role for you.
At Admiral, we are proud to be a diverse business where we put our people and customers first. We understand that a good work life balance is important, and we want you to have an element of freedom to define a working lifestyle that supports this. We are happy to talk about flexible working.
