Management Information (MI) is looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious person to join their industrious and friendly team.

Someone who is numerically minded, with a structured approach to problem solving and an interest in programming and analytics.  With good written and verbal communication skills and an ability to articulate complex information in a way that’s clear for non-technical people to understand.  The role would suit a recent graduate looking to start their career in a data-oriented role.

About the role

MI is responsible for the production and distribution of business information around the company.  We work closely with the rest of the business to provide insight and support in order to assist in their decision-making processes and to help them solve problems.  The key focus is on evaluating processes and developing reports using SAS, SQL and MicroStrategy.

Primary tasks

  • Define business requirements in concurrence with our customers
  • Design and develop management information systems
  • Evaluate information and translate this into business solutions
  • Maintain adequate documentation
  • Develop and maintain department policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Project analysis

Skills and Experience

Essential:           

  • Problem solving
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good time/resource management
  • Good numeracy skills

Preferred:

  • Ability to analyse and interpret information requests
  • Ability to analyse large data sets
  • Software development
  • Software testing and debugging
  • Knowledge of statistical methods
