Job Overview:

Admiral Financial Services Ltd (AFSL) is an independent Admiral Group business based in the centre of Cardiff, we are one of Admiral’s newest and fastest growing companies, with the benefits of a start-up feel matched with the support of a hugely successful FTSE 100 company.

We are looking for brilliant Software Engineers at all levels to join them in our dynamic agile teams to deliver innovative technology solutions and take their part in shaping the future of AFSL

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Ensure designs are compliant with specifications
  • Play an active part in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint reviews and sprint planning

Skills and Experience:


  • Proven working experience in software development in Java / Python


  • Ability to automate processes, build software tools, and create infrastructure-as-code solutions with Terraform
  • Experience working with any of AWS/ Google Cloud services
  • Experience of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and concepts
  • Experience of agile methodologies
