Job Overview:

Admiral Financial Services Ltd is one of Admiral’s newest and fastest growing departments. We launched into personal loans and car finance in 2017 and have ambitious targets for both.

As part of the AFSL IT and Change team, the Software Developer will work as part of a small team to deliver innovative technology solutions that will be essential to the success of the business.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Ensure designs are compliant with specifications
  • Play an active part in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint reviews and sprint planning

Skills and Experience:


  • Proven working experience in software development in Java / Python


  • Ability to automate processes, build software tools, and create infrastructure-as-code solutions with Terraform
  • Experience working with any of AWS/Azure/ Google Cloud services
  • Experience of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and concepts
  • Experience of agile methodologies
