Who are we?

We are the only specialised team in Admiral Law dealing with contentious road traffic collision claims involving uninsured and untraced drivers. Our client’s will have likely been through a very traumatic experience and through no fault of their own are faced with the uncertainty of how, when and if they can pursue a personal injury claim. We are here to advise them on their best possible legal options, whilst also ensuring they are receiving the best client care.

Our primary aims are to support our clients by conducting our own investigations to identify the offending motorist involved. If this is not possible we aim to provide our client’s with the best legal advice to ensure their claim is correctly dealt with by the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB).

We are a specialised area with links to many other departments in Admiral Law. We deal with claims both prior to and after issuing court proceedings, putting forward our best arguments as quickly as possible in order to provide the best possible service to our client and to be clear with the opponents about our position. If our opponents are not willing to negotiate a reasonable and appropriate settlement we will, were appropriate, pursue the claim to trial.

There is a lot more to it than that as this is a fast changing and developing area of Personal Injury Law. You can expect to be handling claims where there are complex issues to consider and manage.

Who should apply?

The role requires a lot more investigation work than your average Personal Injury claim. We need someone who enjoys and excels at really delving into the detail of a file. Whether it is trawling social media, telematics data, CCTV or speaking to witnesses the level of detail that we require is significant.

No one claim is the same, the role offers a variety of complex matters that will engage your mind in problem solving, creativity and devising a set of best outcomes for the client. It goes without saying that an integral part of the role is giving correct legal advice to our clients and ensuring the client is fully informed throughout the duration of the claim.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic person to take the next step in their career with Admiral Law and to specialise in a technical and rewarding area of Personal Injury law. Dealing with the intricacies of the law and the Motor Insurers’ Bureau agreements require an analytical and methodical approach, while dealing with clients who have been unfortunate enough to be injured by an uninsured or “hit and run” driver require a high degree of empathy.

You need to be extremely organised, proactive and to think on your feet as the role will need you to chase lots of information and actively engage with your client and your opponent. You will also need to issue Court proceedings, you will also need to comply with court dates and timetables.

Previous experience of submitting claims to the MIB and a sound working knowledge of both the Uninsured and Untraced Drivers’ agreements is desirable but not essential. Motivation and enthusiasm for this area of law however is vital.

Full training will be delivered to the successful candidates, so we are looking for bright, committed and articulate graduates who are looking to take the first step in the Law Career.

You should also have a Law Degree or equivalent qualification to apply.
