This is a unique opportunity to join the team of Veygo, a new and ambitious InsureTech venture backed by the Admiral Group.

Veygo has been created in order to provide great insurance and mobility products in a world where people don’t own cars anymore. Our first 2 products - Car Sharing Insurance and Learner Driver Insurance - allow drivers who don’t own a car to be insured whilst they borrow someone else’s car for any duration between 1h and 30 days. We are working to release new products in 2018, and beyond.

As a start-up owned by a FTSE 100 Company, our goal is to get the best of both worlds:

  • We are setup as a separate business with our own Profit & Loss, IT systems built and owned by Veygo and teams that are able to cover all key missions (marketing, IT, customer service, claims handling).
  • We have all the financial backing of Admiral and access to all their great pricing, claims and data experience.

The Product Owners role works to deliver and create new features and functionality on our products – whilst also ensuring that everything we do has the customer at the heart of our plans. The Product Owner will need to have strong research skills as well as track record in delivering to timescales. They will work with stakeholders to brief in work to the development team, ensure quality control and ensure the continued development of our products

You will join a dynamic, successful and growing product team that focus on delivering cutting-edge product solutions for an impressive portfolio of clients.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

Main Duties

  • Work with stakeholders to gain a clear understanding of business processes, then objectively assess and agree business requirements
  • Work with the wider product team to design features to solve customers' problems, and to enhance our product offering
  • Get agreement (sign off) from the stakeholders on the implementation/design
  • Work with the scrum teams to deliver the requirements as intended – and ensure that they meet the user needs
  • Be committed to applying Lean methodology with your team, supported by your Scrum Master.
  • Proactively research UX/UI improvements and propose new feature ideas
  • Research competitors and the market to ensure our product offering remains relevant and feed into the product vision
  • Report metrics to visualise the health of the product and meet regulatory requirements
  • Communicate timelines and manage expectations
  • Help prioritise customer issues and troubleshoot problems with data and user testing
  • Timely production and communication of plans across the product team.
  • To support the Testing team in the validation of business requirements being delivered

  • Previous product owner responsibilities
  • Experience in a digital sector

In terms of experience, we would be interested in anyone that has a specific background in the areas that this role includes.
