Our Claims Department is growing, and we are looking for someone who has experience in dealing with technical or high value personal injury claims to understand how you can become a part of our ongoing success.

The ideal candidate would have the following skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be capable and confident negotiator
  • The ability to manage their time effectively and demonstrate great attention to detail
  • Be capable of weighing up an array of evidence and making strong commercial decisions
  • Have a proven track record in dealing with fast-track bodily injury claims including liability disputes.
  • Multi-track experience is desired but not essential
  • A good knowledge of indemnity, liability and quantum issues will also be useful
  • A degree classification of at least 2:1 is preferable

Who are the Serious Injury Team within Admiral?

"We are a specialist, technical department responsible for investigating, reserving and negotiating settlement of the most complex and high-value personal injury claims received by the business. Being able to deal with these injury claims requires someone who is technically strong, has a keen eye for detail and is able to weigh up evidence to make strong commercial decisions."

Your main duties on the Serious Injury team will involve:

  • Assessing indemnity, liability and quantum on motor claims, ensuring that each claim is investigated thoroughly with due regard given to the circumstances of an individual case
  • Communicating professionally and effectively with our customers to ensure they are kept fully up to date of the claims process, providing excellent customer service at every step
  • Proactively managing a caseload so that correspondence and tasks are dealt with appropriately
  • Negotiating settlement of third party claims through a variety of mediums
  • Attending out of office visits where necessary to gain a full understanding of the claim and facilitate its settlement
  • Committing to a development programme focused at increasing your authority to deal with high value injury claims independently
  • Maintaining a high degree of technical knowledge and to keep abreast of market and legal updates
  • Building strong working relationships with suppliers
  • Ensuring all relevant claims are regularly reported to Reinsurers
