You’ll be working as part of the ECRM (Electronic Customer Relationship Management) team. Our job is to engage customers with a range of direct marketing campaigns to drive cross-sell and improve retention across Admiral’s expanding portfolio of products.

The team’s focus is on email marketing, with some opportunity to test direct Mail, SMS and exploring other digital channels. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive candidate to join the team, ideally with some experience or knowledge of marketing.

This role will be a great opportunity to get involved in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and to claim ownership of projects, as well as working as a part of the wider marketing department at Admiral. This is an exciting time to join the team, as we are currently migrating from our existing email provider to a new platform – so there are lots of opportunities to help shape the future of the team and make the role your own! Experience of using Adobe Campaign is a bonus.

You will report to the Head of ECRM and assist in the delivery of key email, data & creative projects, as well as owning the ECRM marketing of at least one product or programme.

Planning, implementing and optimising email programmes for the Admiral Group. This will include leading the ECRM strategy for at least one product or programme, working with many internal departments, as well as external agencies

Key success metrics

  • Manage, review and optimise automated campaigns through continual test and learn activity
  • Monitor daily email performance, make suggestions to the team for campaign improvements and future test activity
  • Maintain monthly results and log monthly email marketing expenditure 

Key tasks

  • Manage email campaigns for at least one of Admiral’s current core products
  • Work with product teams and contact centre departments to develop campaigns to support their sales targets
  • End-to-end campaign delivery, this includes; strategy development, practical implementation, writing/sourcing copy, liaising with in house Studio team to create bespoke campaign content and ensuring campaigns meet FCA requirements
  • Monitor plans against actual results & spend. Report any deviations and proactively make recommendations to improve performance
  • Work with members of the ECRM team to co-ordinate email campaigns, including scheduling mailings, requesting and checking data, coordinating compliance sign off and scheduling any test activity

Key competencies

  • Effective relationship management e.g. agencies, internal stakeholders
  • Marketing knowledge or experience, and a willingness to learn the mechanics of ECRM
  • Great time management skills are required to meet regular tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities and keep calm under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to study campaign results and make suggestions for future campaign changes and enhancements
  • Great communicator; both verbal & written
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to use initiative & generate ideas
  • Ability to learn quickly on the job and to work autonomously on own projects as well as part of the ECRM team
  • Enthusiastic about helping the ECRM team achieve their goals
