Admiral is looking for graduates with at least a 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent qualification in Maths (or another subject that has a strong numeric focus) to join the new Travel Insurance team of our multi-award winning business at our global headquarters in the centre of Cardiff.

Job Description

This is a new, rare and exciting role which involves being part of Admiral’s new Travel Insurance team to support the implementation of a new product.  Working collaboratively with the Head of Travel and our senior pricing analyst you will ensure timely analysis of data and make suggestions for price changes and new external data sources. 

If you already work in a pricing or data role, this position might just be the next challenge you were looking for. 

We are open to analyst, senior and manager level applications and your final position will be agreed based on your experience.

Main duties

This is a broad role in which we expect you to be our pricing/data expert reference point and you will: 

  • come up with regular pricing reviews
  • come up with new external data sources and new variables to be tested/rated on  
  • create and run reports including the underwriting, portfolio, claims triangles reports 
  • create a travel adjusted pricing model
  • implement and amend the rates in the rating engines
  • create and run other MI reports dependent on needs
  • answer any queries related to pricing
  • work together with the Marketing Department to ensure that all aggregator related functions are working correctly

Key skills and experience

  • Highly numerate with strong mathematical skills
  • Good SAS and Excel skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and priorities
  • Highly motivated and self-driven individual
