About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you will own the creation and implementation of a test strategy across multiple product lines. As a fast moving start up that embraces Agile and Lean methodologies, the need for automation is essential as we seek to release code several times a day. Experience of working within an Agile environment and producing full stack automated tests across web and mobile applications is required.

Main Duties:

  • Analyse software requirements to write and execute comprehensive, thorough and effective automated test scripts and regression packs to verify the quality of new or enhanced software releases
  • Work effectively within the Agile/Scrum methodology and participate fully in sprint ceremonies, communicating back to the team on sprint progress, blockers etc.
  • Specification and on-going development and maintenance of automation framework
  • Record, report, analyse and manage defects found during testing and manage through to closure
  • Help raise the profile of testing within the Car Access Team (Veygo) by providing high value automated test solutions and promoting continuous improvement within the team

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Essential Experience:

  • Testing complex IT projects through to completion, resulting in delivery of robust and high-quality applications
  • Building automated testing frameworks from scratch
  • 3rd Party non-functional test tooling e.g.
  • Defect tracking tools


  • Degree or above in a technical or numerate subject and/or proven experience in IT
  • Exposure to test methodologies such as Behavioural Driven Development
  • Experience testing web applications using higher-level frameworks such as Cucumber, Mocha or Jasmine
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • ISTQB Foundation Certificate
