Main Duties

  • Help our customers in their journey towards getting a Loan or Car Finance, from the initial call to the final approval. You may have your own assigned customers, and you will be expected to keep in touch with them throughout the application process
  • Taking inbound calls from customers and assisting them through the process
  • Making outbound calls to customers who have already applied, to re-engage them and answer any queries.
  • Checking and verifying documentation in relation to loan applications, both in terms of accuracy and timeliness
  • Spotting any inconsistencies in information provided by customers to help detect mistakes or fraudulent applications. This could be in verbal or written format.
  • Answering written correspondence, as well as phone calls
  • Helping customers with both new business and customer service queries
  • Maintain high quality standards, including excellent customer service, as set out in your personal and department scorecards

As with any new and growing business, opportunities develop regularly so there might be other duties or projects that crop up that we haven’t yet envisaged.

Key Skills

  • Positive and energetic, with a can-do attitude
    We’re just beginning a new journey with our Loans and Car Finance products. We need people who are positive about change and can help get things done.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with an investigative mindset
    Loans products can be complex, so you will need to absorb large amounts of information, whilst engaging the customer in phone calls.  As well as making sure we get the correct information inputted onto the system, you will also need to be switched on to potential mistakes or fraud within applications.
  • History of excellent and compliant customer service
    We want to offer the same great Admiral service as we do in our other departments and products. The loan industry is heavily regulated. 
  • Ability to multi task under pressure
    Whilst full training will be given, it will still be a pressured environment, moving at a fast pace and throwing up unexpected surprises. You will need to be resilient to deal with this, sometimes juggling several things at once.
